Cure the Humdrum Office Party : Plan a Company Treasure Hunt

Any decision maker, human resources administrator or company executive knows that that the easiest way to bring workers together and promote comradeliness and teamwork is to plan an event outside the office. It can be challenging, though, to plan an event that achieves these goals while being both memorable and fun. For example, a company party at a local cafe could be a nice break from the drudgery of work, but it may also alienate wallflowers and introverts who don't feel good trying to converse with more sociable types who naturally form their own cliques and conversations. Instead of "just another party," an administrator who desires to treat his or her workers to an event they will remember lovingly should consider a corporate treasure hunt.

Taking Part in an Underwater Treasure Hunt

Until just recently, an underwater treasure hunt has been a comparatively low-tech pursuit involving SCUBA divers with big flash-lights and metal detectors poking around in shipwrecks hunting for what might have been left behind. Even as GPS technology has gotten more advanced, no one has found the way to directly allow normal satellite signals to penetrate water, and thus even a thin layer of water between a GPS receiver and the sky renders such a device useless.

Stones that can alter human behaviour

Jewels, precious stones or gems, often called treasured stones, are pieces of mineral that are typically utilised for making jewellery or other ornaments after cutting and polishing. Most of the gemstones are regarded as hard materials, but some soft minerals are also used as jewelry due to their luster. There are thousands of known minerals existing in nature, but only about a hundred are considered as true gem or jewel minerals. There are only about 12 or so gems that are actually valuable enough to be considered essential gems in the world market. A mineral is thought of as a valuable gem if it is attractive, hard and durable. The great thing about a gem is measured by its clearness, luster and colour. The market value of the gem relies on its rarity, pureness, clarity, beauty, cut and size of the stone.

Nuggets of Gold – filling the Dreams of Treasure Seekers

A gold nugget, a popular kind of gold, is a commonly occurring piece of local gold found in natural settings. While most concentrations of gold are found on land, some water bodies have great concentrations of gold nuggets. Gold nuggets are formed when erosion causes a large piece of gold to split from rock, and then gets carried into a stream or watercourse. Many nuggets are formed by cold welding of smaller particles and bits in streams, rivers and watercourses. The running water tumbles the gold, giving it its distinct shape and this process takes a number of years to give the typical round shape to gold nuggets.

Meteorites – Facts versus Myths

A meteorite is an object formed and originating in space that outlives crashing on the surface of the Earth. Meteorites are almost always different sizes and shapes, varying from small to large. There are numerous meteorites extracted from tiny astronomic objects called meteoroids, but almost all of the time they result from hits of other asteroids. When a meteoroid enters the earth's atmosphere or travels into the earth's gravitational orbit, ram pressure causes that object to overheat thanks to the attractive force of the earth's gravitational pull. At that point, meteorites begin giving off light as it forms a " fireball" because of the fire on its outer surface. This type of meteor is known as moving star.
